Beyonce Knowles is today’s R&B diva, with top selling albums with Destiny’s Child and as a solo artist. Beyonce’s discography when in Destiny’s Child includes; debut album Destiny’s Child (1988), The Writings on the Wall (1999), Survivor (2001), and Destiny Fulfilled (2004). Her solo albums include; dangerously in Love (2003), B’Day (2006).
Beyonce’s style and image is one of her own. Her music influences growing up were Anita Baker, Luther Vandross, Jazz musician Rachelle Ferrell, Prince, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross and Donna Summer. Beyonce’s music has predominantly been considered contemporary R&B with hints of pop, dance-pop, funk and soul.
Knowles recorded several Spanish records, receiving much praise from the Latin population. She received much favorable responses from her cross-over, when she re-released B’Day.
Knowles is very involved both musically and creatively in her music and image. She is very active in the writing and producing of her music. She co-wrote most of the songs created in Destiny’s Child and also in her solo career. Beyonce was recognized as a writer/composer. She was awarded Songwriter of The Year at the 2001 American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. This was the first time and African American woman had accomplished this feat.
Beyonce has been regarded one of the sexiest artists in the business. Known for her curvaceous body, Beyonce has been tagged famous for it. Knowles is very involved with her fashion as well. This is evident in all of her videos, where she combines her artistic element and her passion for fashion.
Beyonce’s talents are singer/songwriter, record producer and actress.  Beyonce’s music continues to be one of the internets most popular searches and MP3 downloads with millions of searches per month.
